I am a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years experience in the mental health field. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Idaho State University, my master’s degree in counseling from Boise State University and my professional credential in Child Centered Play Therapy from University of North Texas. I am also trained in Child Parent Relationship Therapy and regularly facilitate parenting classes for families in order to support positive family relationships.
Prior to starting my counseling practice, I worked as an elementary and early childhood school counselor in the Nampa School District. During these years I developed a passion for helping children, through play therapy, overcome challenges with family, friendships, school, anxiety, depression and other concerns children may have.
I believe the relationship is the most important part of the counseling process and I work hard to provide a safe, nurturing environment, meeting clients of all ages, where they are in order to create a relationship that promotes growth and insight.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children and two dogs. As a family we enjoy traveling, hiking, camping and CrossFit.
