My Approach to Counseling

Before opening my private practice with Cherry Lane Counseling in Meridian, I worked as an elementary and early childhood school counselor in the Nampa School District. During those years, I developed a passion for helping children overcome challenges related to anxiety, emotional regulation, friendship struggles, and family transitions, all through the healing language of play.
Today, I offer therapy services for young children using play therapy, and for teens and adults using a person-centered approach that incorporates IFS, mindfulness, and emotional processing. Whether I’m supporting a young child who communicates through play or an adult exploring their internal system of parts, my goal is to create a space that is safe, respectful, and empowering.
I believe the relationship is the most important part of the counseling process. I meet each client with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, creating a space where growth, healing, and insight can unfold at their own pace.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three children, and our two dogs. As a family, we love traveling, hiking, camping, and CrossFit.
